'The' Canadian Poet - Leonard Cohen

Like a comet that only comes around every few decades, Leonard Cohen is returning to Vancouver for a one-night performance. The show is set to take place next Thursday, at the Rogers Arena, formerly GM Place.

Cohen was here in April of 2009, promoting his live in London CD But before the tour got going in 2008, Cohen, now seventy-six years old, had not toured for fifteen years. The quintessential Canadian poet, had chosen a life of semiretirement, in a Buddhist monastery, situated in California.

With only a handful of shows left and a cancellation in Honolulu, Cohen added two more dates – one in Vancouver and one in Oakland California.

This may be it folks. The fedora may find its place on the shelf alongside the poetry books that we will forever reference and flip though.

Our advice: buy a ticket online, book a flight to Vancouver and find some relatively cheap accommodation.
